
		The purpose behind General Creative

			Those associated with General Creative come from many disciplines and interests. What brings us together is a set of core beliefs or values concerning the nature and role of creativity in the modern (or postmodern) world. Some of these are: Creative expression helps combat the narrowing of mental and emotional functions imposed by the media Perception and feeling can coexist with intellect and thought Business can be humane and rewarding People with differences can learn from one another People with differences can spark common projects There should be a "counter-space " for intimate interaction and exploration Interested members of the public should be invited to participate General Creative associates meet with one another on a regular basis, carrying out common projects and assisting one another when possible. We also use our studio space for public meetings like the Film Nights, Salon 425, and The Richmond Cultural Seminars. We encourage you to drop in to one or all of these evenings. Costs are minimal, and rewards are great.
